Last week, the Rishon LeZion Magistrate's Court released Eli Aharonson, owner of B.L.N. Construction Ltd, under restrictive conditions. He is suspected of illegally deducting VAT totaling over 8.5 million shekels. According to the Tel Aviv and Central Customs and VAT Investigations Department, the company allegedly used suspicious invoices for these deductions. Authorities estimate that the state lost approximately 1.3 million shekels in VAT due to these activities. Aharonson was released on bail with restrictions, including a 180-day travel ban and the requirement to surrender his passport. The court also imposed a publication ban on his name until April 28, 2026, allowing the defense to request an extension. B.L.N. Construction, founded in March 2022, is active in various engineering projects and was established by former Israeli military officers.
